That Shirt Again

J has been wearing her big sister shirt since Saturday! At least she’ll take it off to sleep so we can wash it for her! (Although she doesn’t want it washed, so we’ve had to be careful to put it back where she took it off)

For Christmas TeamHardCore gave us tickets to a Giants game…this might be our last “date” before the baby arrives…Alex sure looks excited!

This is J’s favourite book – the Toyland Express. She has the Christmas one as well, but of course it’s put away right now…I might have to go get a different one as she has almost got the pages in this one memorized!

J got a new winter coat from my parents today. She’s been wearing it all day with her goggles. Before dinner she got too hot, so she took the toque and removable hood off and wore those on her head and the mittens on her feet. I’m pretty sure she’d wear it to bed tonight if I let her! And the goggles are her favourite accessory these days!

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

There are three connect tunnels by our park. They run under a busy street and allow easy access to the other side, without crossing through traffic, to pedestrians and cyclists. J loves riding her bike in the tunnels, so we spent some time down there before dinner.

Goodbye Book

J's old daycare makes these books for each child when they leave. J's has about 25 pages. We dropped by today to say hello and they had her book ready for her. She loves it. We've read it about 86 times since we got home and she went to bed with it. Each pages has some photographs of J with the other children and all of the teachers wrote the captions. The very last page is a special goodbye letter from the teachers. We already miss the old daycare!

Pinky Pie And Rainbow Dash

J received this at Christmas, but she got soooooo much stuff that we put a few things away. Last week when I was feeling totally miserable and our days pretty much consisted of me dragging us to work and daycare, then picking J up and coming home, feeding her and collapsing onto my bed with J and her books and some toys, I pulled these out of the secret hiding spot. J had forgotten about them and loved them. They were a welcome distraction [I'm glad I'm feeling better now...we're able to go for short walks and to the park again and J likes that so much better than reading in bed...huh, I wonder why?]
