The Postcard Place

Baby C and I went to Granville Island this morning for coffee and a treat…and I may have visited the Postcard Place. Although, note to self, most stuff doesn’t open until 10:00 am…good thing the coffee place was open!

This morning it was Miss J who disappeared under the table…but because she is neither as quiet or as small as her sister, she was definitely much easier to spot!

New Haircut

Today J and I had a day without Daddy or Baby C. J was pretty thrilled. First we went and had her hair cut. She still has her curls, albeit they tend more to waves than ringlets these days, but she insisted that her hair be dried as straight as possible. After her haircut we went and found a snack and got J some awesome new sandals. I hope her feet don’t grow too much and the sandals last until the end of the summer!

Butterfly Dress Has Many Purposes

J got a new dress…Today she was J the explorer with her new binoculars from her great-auntie and her rubber boots and her walking stick.

Later on, her dress substituted for a bathing suit as she cooled off in the sprinkler. Summer is in Kelowna. And we wish we could stay all summer!

Cuddles With Daddy

She’s Here!

Our baby bean arrived at 12:46 this morning…she teased us for about ten days and gave us a few scares and last night the doctor decided it was time. She’s here. She’s healthy. Her lungs work. We’re exhausted. We’re happy. J is in Kelowna. And the baby girl does not have a name yet…but she’s here!

So, a few weeks this year got posted a bit after the fact because, oh, pregnant woman was too tired to blog…in the meantime the camera died on us and the memory card ate a bunch of pictures…so throughout March there are a number of pictures taken on March 3 when the three of us went on a bit of a wander.

I've been meaning to do something about our cookie sheets and cutting boards for a while. They're sort of leaning inside a cupboard and they fall over all the time. I was out tonight and saw this...I hope it works!

First Day At The New Daycare

Today is J's first day at her new daycare. She chose her outfit this morning. Her favourite skirt and a hockey shirt.

J has been fascinated by the fireworks, so tonight we let her stay up REALLY LATE and went down to Granville Island to watch the fireworks. She loved it!
