There was a storm tonight. See those clouds? Well the storm was directly over the house for a few thunder claps…it was so close the windows and doors were rattling and I swear the floor was shaking!

The Park

When the rain comes back, I will need to remember this picture of J, so happy to be at the park and the city looking so amazingly wonderful!

Our apartment is warm, so the best thing to do is head off to the park and burn some energy and get some fresh air! J loves it!

Baby is moving in to our room which means we lose our desk (just to the left of the picture) so Alex and I spent today cleaning, sorting and tossing stuff so that we can give baby a place for its bed and its clothing. J was a huge helper. It turns out she likes to dust.

I always wanted a Lite Brite when I was a kid and I never had one. J loves the one they have at daycare so there were at least two happy people in our house when this appeared under the tree on Christmas morning!

Vitals

I've become quite good at navigating two of the buildings of the massive VGH complex. I had another test today and one of the things they had to do while they did the test was monitor my vitals. The tech doing the test said he was always glad to see someone with such good vitals [the patients having this particular test done are often quite sick] These results make me feel a lot better about whatever weirdness is going on inside my body...

Ice Cream!

 J fell and banged up her face last night at her cousin's birthday party...that's all I have for pictures today, so instead here is a picture of J loving her ice cream on Canada Day. Please excuse the crappy quality. I took it on my cell phone and it had readjusted itself to the lowest resolution.

Boo Boston

J has figured out that we don't want Boston to win the Stanley Cup (sort of...I don't think she understands the concept of the Stanley Cup yet). Tonight after the game, she stood at her bedroom window and yelled "GO CANCUKS!" and "BOO BOSTON!" to all the fans wandering past our building after the game. She's hooked...Canucks' fan for life!
