Finally! A Pantry!

This is a crappy picture, but that’s my pantry! It’s more than twice the size that you see and it will comfortably hold our apartment sized deep freeze without getting in the way of any of the shelf space. I’m so excited to have a good place to store kitchen stuff!!!

Mini Orchids

Because our apartment is for sale, there are flowers all over the place. It’s been a bit of a treat because we usually only have flowers for special occasions. And never in the bathrooms – there are these tiny orchids in our bathroom, some pretty orange flowers in J and C’s bathroom, a fall bouquet in the living room and a lantern flower plant beside the fire place. Sometimes there is even a bouquet in our bedroom.  I like these orchids the best…and because they’re potted they’ll stick around even after our place sells…at least until I accidently kill them!

Packing Materials

The girls and I fly up to Kelowna on Sunday and while we’re gone, the painter is coming in to get rid of the hideous pink walls…that we have lived with for five years. Whatever. They’re going. And once they are gone, we’re planning to sell our apartment, so the next few days are all about packing away anything that is not essential because after the painting, we will be staging. UGH!

Happy Canada Day!

One happy girl today…she got to go to the water park and go down the slide, she got ice cream and she got a maple leaf tattoo on her cheek. What a day!

Back Again

Our apartment is warm, so the best thing to do is head off to the park and burn some energy and get some fresh air! J loves it!

Perfect Night For A Party

We came up to Kelowna in part because there was a big birthday bash for my great aunt who will be 80. It was held here, at another great aunt and uncle’s beach front home.

It’s A New Year

It’s a new year…I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than in a party dress building Lego! And I’m back. This year is a year of change for us and I missed being able to scroll through my pictures to figure out what we were doing earlier in the year. I am going to try to post the photos for the week every Sunday (or maybe every Friday)…we’ll see how that goes!

We got this little folder thing as a sample. I was using it for my grocery list, but someone seems to have claimed it as her own. I love how she went and found a special card for the card slot (she has a collection of used gift cards)

It's A Start

This looks way better than it did but I still have a lot to do. When I started, there was no where for J to store her clothes and stuff always threatened to jump out of the closet. I tossed six boxes of stuff, kept just over one bag of stuff and feel better organized now...by next summer I hope this closet only holds J's old clothing and her things. That's it. We'll see how I do.
