My Helper And Her Baby

J still calls C *her* baby and today she insisted on feeding her…C didn’t eat much…she thought it was play time with her favourite playmate!

Holiday Cozy

What a lovely night! We had a family gathering at my great-aunt and uncle’s Doesn’t it look cozy? There were about 30 of us squished quite comfortably into about 600 square feet. So lovely. AND Alex arrived for the weekend. Happy happy at our house!

Baby Boo

Baby C was giggling on the floor and I found this…she was playing peekaboo! She kept pulling the corner over her head and giggling…she thought it was great fun!

We Did It!

Ignore the sweatshirt in the foreground and the toys on the floor, but with the pillows from the other day set on the couch, we are ready for the first showing of our Lyons’ Den. Yesterday I wasn’t sure we’d get here, but after a few trips to Home Depot, Home Outfitters and Save On and a bunch of trips to storage, we’re ready!

It looks like I need to pay closer attention to Baby C….she sure is a long way from her blanket!

Cheetah

This cheetah did her own face painting at daycare today! Not bad!

Only Baby In A Wrap

Baby C has been spending some time in the wrap we got for her. Today J found a pashmina of mine and we tied Only Baby up into it so she could be in a wrap just like the baby!

Gosling Daycare

As I walked to baby group today, I came across this gosling daycare. There are about 4 pairs of geese and these are their offspring. Four of them were watching the babies and the other four were doing whatever it is geese do.

Marshmallow Blanket

This lovely blanket arrived today…the yarn is amazing and it looks like purple flecked mini marshmallows and it is ever so soft. Thank you amazing Louise!

Under The Sea Birthday

It was my mom’s birthday this week so J made her a cake (well, I made it, but hey…) It had Inky from the Knowledge Network and fish and jelly beans and sprinkles and blue icing and lemon cake coloured green.

Sounds super strange, but tasted delicious!

Baby’s First Sleeper

J and I went shopping today to return some thing and to pick up a few new things for J. While we were there, she saw this adorable little monster sleeper that she insisted on getting for Boxing Bean…pretty cute for a girl or a boy!

This car reminds me of the toy car that hung out by my office a few summers ago.

Fire Engines

There was a small fire beside our building tonight. Everything ended up being fine, but it was very dramatic when it started - lots of fire engines, lots of noise. J woke up so we opened her blinds so she could see what was happening.

Curtains

I met Heddy for dinner tonight. There will eventually be a post on the other blog about the restaurant because it was somewhere I'd never been before! It was so nice to have a night out with a good friend!

Common Signs

I'll be seeing a lot of this sign over the next few weeks...I am thankful for our medical system though...12 hours after I was discharged from the hospital, my phone started ringing. The hospital was calling to start booking the multitude of tests I'm going to have...

Max is 3!

Today marks the beginning of birthday season...I think we have a birthday party a week for the next few weeks. I loved this cake because it was perfect for Max, yet it was so simple as well!

Tax Time

Apparently I didn't think taxes were worthy of a photo in 2007 or 2009, but let me assure you, I did them. Looks like I'm getting closer to the deadline every year...I had great intentions this year, but the computer was out of commission (guess what the motivation was to finally get it fixed!?!?!)
