In its previous life, this little table was a telephone stand – the telephone sat on top, pens and paper were in the drawer and telephone books were in the cabinet…I think it’s going to be home to my current knitting projects…we still have a lot of stuff to sort out, so that might change, but for now, that’s the plan!

We made it to Kelowna in time for dinner…there were a few moment when we thought we weren’t going to make it…but we did and J was soooooooo happy to be able to play outside. J’s Oncle J’s family came for dinner too and J was super excited because his niece came and they are both five.

My Girl And My Grandma

Mama is 80 today! I feel very fortunate to still have my grandmother and I’m so very grateful that my little girls get to have the chance to get to know her. I grew up with two great-grandmas and I know I was very lucky to have them.

Yes, we are back at the park! This park, part of the same park we were at on Sunday and Monday, is actually the playground at the school J will be attending in the fall. Her goal is to be able to cross the rings in one go before kindergarten starts.

So, a few weeks this year got posted a bit after the fact because, oh, pregnant woman was too tired to blog…in the meantime the camera died on us and the memory card ate a bunch of pictures…so throughout March there are a number of pictures taken on March 3 when the three of us went on a bit of a wander.

It was time to scrub under the foam mats on our floor and I decided that since it will soon be time to rearrange the furniture to put the tree up, I may as well do it all at once. I love the new arrangement...it feels so much bigger in our living room!

J got to "drive" the tractor at the first part of our family reunion today (the nursery tour) and she was in heaven!

Knox Gelatin

This cookbook appeared form the depths of my grandparents' storage room...my mom said there were multiple copies (my grandma probably bought them for each of her kids). We used to make one of the salads when I was a kid. I'm making a treat for J's daycare party tomorrow night and wow, there are some gross gelatin recipes in this book!

Birthday goody bags are way fancier than when I was a kid. This Pez dispenser is just one of the many little goodies J received at the party yesterday. Other loot included an Etch-A-Sketch (with a pen, not knobs), a skipping rope, other goodies, a butterfly mask, silly bands and I can't remember what else! Tink looks a little grouchy, hey?
