Today J and Baby C and I went to the airport to hang out with some friends on their layover to home to Europe. We had a lovely visit, but I hope that the next time we see them, it will be at our place or theirs…I think the last three times we have met have been in the airport!

Late Lunch

Our flight back from Kelowna arrived at 1:00 which made lunch a tricky thing. I had a brainwave and we ate at the airport before heading home (my mom had done the same with J one time thing spring, but it never occurred to me before). It meant we had a pleasant drive home and no one was cranky! I’ll do that again for sure!

I have moved into a new office space in an old mansion on campus. Many of the offices have sealed fireplaces in them from when the building was a house. One of my colleagues, who just moved out of a different office in the building, told me her son was upset she no longer worked in an office connected to the Floo Network. I guess in case of a magical emergency, I am lucky enough to have access!!!

My mom and dad took J home with them after her party yesterday. I decided this was an ideal time to start to tackle her closet. We moved in to our place just a few weeks before J made an early arrival. There's a ton of boxes in her closet that we just shoved in there to get them out of the way. Um. She's three. It's time to go through them and purge!

So, I spent a good part of today back at the hospital. Again, I'm fine, but really?!?!?!

My parents stopped by today with something new and special for Miss J...a big girl bed! It originally belonged to one of J's aunties and the bedding was mine, so she felt super special to have our old stuff (I'm so glad my kid is happy to have hand-me-downs!)
