Laundry Helper And A New Haircut

I did some laundry last night and had it all loaded up in the laundry basket, folded, to put away when the girls were awake this morning. And I forgot it was there. I put Baby C down and when I turned around, she was “helping” me sort it…I guess I’ll be folding it again!

This little girl left the house with me this afternoon. We got to have a special J and Mommy hot chocolate and then we went to the hair dresser…

And this is the little girl who came home with me! Her cute new hair sure looks a lot different.

Foggy City And Cheap Toys

It was a bit eerie taking J to school this morning – the city was cloaked in fog.

Baby C has two new favourite toys – a stack of used gift cards that J had as a baby/toddler and the boxes from our salt and pepper mills. She loves them more than any of the “real” toys she has…isn’t that always the way!

Ten Little Fingers With Bop

We had dinner with my mom and dad tonight and Baby C and my dad spent some time reading her favourite book, Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes.

Sunday Morning Imagination

So, on Sunday mornings, Hello Kitty, some My Little Ponies, Kermit the Frog, a Filly Elf horse and a duck get gas at a floating gas station and then go for Lego ice cream. That's it...I wish my to do list for today was that short! (And the skate board that floats on water is pretty cool!)

Chutes And Ladders

My mom and dad popped by for a quick visit this afternoon. J was super excited to find someone else to play Chutes and Ladders with!

Solo Spot It

We’ve been playing a lot more games since we moved and J absolutely loves Spot It. They had been playing it at school and she got her own for Christmas. When we don’t have time to play with her, she’s been brushing up on her skills by playing on her own. She’s really hard to beat!

New Scarf

I made a baby blanket out of this wool to send to a friend in the fall. J wanted that blanket more than anything and I promised her that when I have time, I will get some more of that wool and make her a kid-sized version of the blanket…in the meantime I realized there was enough wool left that I could make something for her. She was SO excited to find this scarf waiting for her before school this morning.

A Curtain With Legs

This happens a lot now…she’s not sure what to do with curtains since our old place had blinds…I’m trying to convince here she doesn’t really want to hang out under them like this!

Goodbye 2013

And so we say goodbye to a crazy year…there’s lots of exciting things to look forward to in the coming year…this is how I’m ushering out 2013…lying on the floor, playing games with my kiddo and trying to not moan too much from the aches and pains of the flu…ughhhhh

J still calls C *her* baby and today she insisted on feeding her…C didn’t eat much…she thought it was play time with her favourite playmate!

Art Lover

Today J and Baby C and I went to the airport to hang out with some friends on their layover to home to Europe. We had a lovely visit, but I hope that the next time we see them, it will be at our place or theirs…I think the last three times we have met have been in the airport!

We signed the papers for our new place to live today! C loved crawling around the wide open space…it’s going to look a bit different when we move our stuff in…

Santa brought C a ball…she was very intrigued!

Christmas Eve!

J decorated our funny little tree this morning…I can’t wait until next year when we can have our regular decorations!

We went to the VanDusen gardens to see the Christmas lights and then headed over to Auntie Rebar’s for a 16 person Christmas Eve dinner…

And now hopefully these two excited little girls will get some sleep because tomorrow is going to be a HUGE day!
