Converted To Knitting Storage

In its previous life, this little table was a telephone stand – the telephone sat on top, pens and paper were in the drawer and telephone books were in the cabinet…I think it’s going to be home to my current knitting projects…we still have a lot of stuff to sort out, so that might change, but for now, that’s the plan!

Christmas Eve!

J decorated our funny little tree this morning…I can’t wait until next year when we can have our regular decorations!

We went to the VanDusen gardens to see the Christmas lights and then headed over to Auntie Rebar’s for a 16 person Christmas Eve dinner…

And now hopefully these two excited little girls will get some sleep because tomorrow is going to be a HUGE day!

My parents took us to see the show that Auntie Rebar is working on right now. J got to bring one of her buds from school and they both loved it.

Advent Bath Toys

Snow

We woke up this morning and the tree looked like this!!

And then we walked to school and it looked like this! (Someone is happy for the snow but also because it’s the last day of school)

A small person at home thought the snow was pretty amazing too!

And she got a very special, personalized blanket in the mail today from a very special friend of mine.

A Special Tree

J got this very cool tree in the advent calendar today. It’s cardboard and it has a pretty beaded garland and a gold star. The dish has a “magic” solution in it.

This is after four hours. J is going to love it when she gets home!

Carols And Lanterns

J’s school has an awesome Parent Advisory Committee. Along with one of the local resident’s associations, they planned an evening of carolling in our neighbourhood for the kids. We spend about an hour and half singing and walking and there was hot chocolate and goodies for the kids. J had an absolute blast and Baby C slept almost the whole time. YAY!

Mini Orchids

Because our apartment is for sale, there are flowers all over the place. It’s been a bit of a treat because we usually only have flowers for special occasions. And never in the bathrooms – there are these tiny orchids in our bathroom, some pretty orange flowers in J and C’s bathroom, a fall bouquet in the living room and a lantern flower plant beside the fire place. Sometimes there is even a bouquet in our bedroom.  I like these orchids the best…and because they’re potted they’ll stick around even after our place sells…at least until I accidently kill them!
