Laundry Helper And A New Haircut

I did some laundry last night and had it all loaded up in the laundry basket, folded, to put away when the girls were awake this morning. And I forgot it was there. I put Baby C down and when I turned around, she was “helping” me sort it…I guess I’ll be folding it again!

This little girl left the house with me this afternoon. We got to have a special J and Mommy hot chocolate and then we went to the hair dresser…

And this is the little girl who came home with me! Her cute new hair sure looks a lot different.

Baby C is obsessed with other babies. She was thrilled when she found J’s Baby Alice in the toy basket. She loves to give her hugs and (very wet) kisses. It’s pretty cute.

J is back! We all went for a walk after dinner and before bed. It’s a beautiful night, but there weren’t many people out. I guess it’s a sign that summer is coming to a close. One more week of summer and then J starts kindergarten! WOW!

I didn’t get around to making a birthday cake for Alex…some things just don’t happen with an infant in the family…He couldn’t decide what to get so he and J got a dessert sampler. The cheesecake on the left is J’s, the one on the right is the birthday boy’s and the little pie in the middle is for all three of us to share!

J made thumbprint cards for her teachers for Christmas last year and loved it…I thought these might be good inspiration for some other thumbprints she could try.

So, a few weeks this year got posted a bit after the fact because, oh, pregnant woman was too tired to blog…in the meantime the camera died on us and the memory card ate a bunch of pictures…so throughout March there are a number of pictures taken on March 3 when the three of us went on a bit of a wander.

My first loaf of bread maker bread was only so-so. This loaf was perfect. It was a straight whole wheat loaf - the other was supposed to have nuts and fruit in it...but that's a long story...I made a 2lb loaf and I wouldn't do that again - there wasn't quite enough room in the basket for it. But it's good. Even thought it took 4 1/2 hours to make...YUM!
