Wrapping up P365 III

Wow, so apparently, since I've been doing it for three years, I am capable of taking a photo a day! My goal for 2010 is to try to post more regularly - I'm going to aim for every Sunday, if not more often (please please please hold me to that!)

A quick summary of 2009

• 208 pictures had people in them
• 22 pictures of people had Alex in them
• 186 pictures of people had J in them
• 119 pictures were of things
• 65 pictures were of places
• 8 posts had some combination of people, place and thing
• 1 picture was taken on the A400, 331 pictures were taken on the G7, 33 pictures were taken on some other camera
• 293 pictures were in Vancouver (which really means the Lower Mainland), 38 were in Kelowna, the rest were in Nelson, the UK or somewhere else in BC
• 1 picture were of knitting (I bet that means I'm not knitting as much!)
• 8 pictures were of plants or flowers - more than I would have thought
• 7 posts had more than one picture
• 8 pictures were birthday related

Carrying On The Tradition

We often have curried shrimp for dinner on New Years, so tonight, J and I had just that. Alex is working, so I'm probably going to celebrate New Years with the people in the Eastern Time Zone and call it an early night!

With Her Purse

J has an obsession with purses and bags right now...she likes to fill them with stuff and carry them around. We're not sure if the hand on the ear is to keep the bag from falling off her arm or if she's talking on the phone...

Asleep In The Airport

It's very tiring dropping one person off and picking another up at the airport...really...okay, so to be fair, Alex did start work at 5:00 this morning so he'd been up since 3:00 or something ridiculous like that...and J didn't have an afternoon nap.

Big Gloves

J refused to wear gloves today and her little hands were like ice cubes. Then Paula had a brilliant idea - J loved wearing Paula's gloves and her hands warmed up. I think Paula had cold hands though!

Christmas Dancing

We had a second Christmas (well, actually third) today with Alex's family. The girls love each other and had a great time dancing under the tree!

Stockings

J wasn't quite sure what to do with the stockings. She was good at handing them out, but it took a bit to get the idea of taking the stuff out of the stocking!

Angel

Our angel overwhelms our tree this year - it's meant for the bigger tree, but we opted for a three foot tree on a table to keep it away from little fingers!

Bright Nights

We went to Stanley Park today to try to take the train, but unfortunately it was all sold out. J loved the lights and didn't even notice that we didn't go on the train.

Science World

Paula took J to Science World with her today. I had to go to work for a few hours and J's sitter is already gone away for Christmas, so it was great (for all of us) to have Paula take J. They had a great time together and I got lots more done in much less time than I would have if J had come with me!

Big Baby!

On our way to see Alex's parents today, we stopped in to see some friends who have a new baby - she's six weeks old. J loved her bouncy chair and spent a lot of time lying it gazing at the Christmas tree!

It's Snowing From The Sky

We spent today at Grouse Mountain and while it was sleet-snowing when we got there, Paula did get to see "real" snow just before we left - it was snowing very hard!

Little Cheerleader

Part of Paula's Christmas present was a Giants hockey game. J is already a big fan of hockey games - she claps and cheers and dances and points at the blimp. Here she's heckling the ref. Yeah. That's it.

We bought a few teeny tiny outfits for some friends' babies when we were in the UK. I love love love Marks and Spencer and wish we had them here.

Chaos Times Two

So who knew that twice the toddlers could create ten times the mess! J's little friend Inara came over tonight for a few hours while her parents went out - the girls had fun (they spend most days together when I'm at work). They had a great time!

A New Bed?

My friend Paula arrives from South Africa tomorrow and she'll be sharing a room with J for two weeks. We set her bed up tonight and J was pretty excited to see the bed and crawl all over it!
