Alex worked a day shift today so we walked over to meet him after work. It took about 6 times as long with J as it would have taken without her…partly because we stopped to hug almost every tree.

Cranky New Boots

J got new rain boots this weekend to replace the pair she wore right through. She was excited when she left the house to show off her new boots, but by the time we got to her daycare, she was not a happy camper. Maybe the weather has something to do with it????

Weather Change

It was a good thing we took advantage of the nice weather yesterday because today, well, it wasn’t quite so nice…but J was pretty happy to go out and play anyway!

Spring Tea Time

It was a lovely day today…so J and I went for a walk. She wasn’t so sure about the blossoms on the ground. She wanted to put them back on the tree!

I took some lovely tea with me…I got this yummy sampler from my brother-in-law for Christmas and the tea I chose today was so good!

Back On The Floor

J has been going back and forth between the floor and the bed…the floor seems to be winning…I’m not sure why…she’s never fallen out of the bed but I find her all over the room when I go in to check on her when she’s sleeping on the floor.

We did it. We converted the crib. Someone is VERY excited about her big girl bed.

Sick Baby

Poor J is sick. They had to come and pick me up her up at daycare this afternoon…by the time I got there she had fallen asleep…so I waited. For three hours for her to wake up. Our next stop was the doctor’s office…and then the pharmacy. This is my poor, feverish kid waiting for her prescription to be ready so that we can go home and go to bed….

Floor Sleeper

On Sunday night J had a horrible night. She yelled and screamed and cried and carried on until 3:30...In the midst of this we discovered she knew how to get out of her crib. But she likes to go in a kind of head first way. So I made her sleep on the floor. The next night we pulled the mattress out of the crib and she's on the floor now for a few nights. On the weekend we'll convert the crib to a daybed...she's been pretty good about staying in bed and not getting out too many times...we'll see how long that lasts!

New office furniture arrives tomorrow…this is the before picture…it might be a few days before I post the after picture seeing as the stuff is not arriving assembled.

I think maybe Alex is a little too big for the slide now….the platform just to the right is a nice height for him to bump his head.

Alex brought one of J’s favourite treats home tonight…cupcakes, also known as baby cakes at our house.

Jump Start

When I feel like I need some help reading, I pull out Harry Potter. Pretty much never fails. Once I start reading the series, I also devour other books…let’s see what happens this time!

Guess what? I’m back to eating wheat…yummy baking powder biscuits. YUM!

Relaxation With Bookmark

This bookmark arrived in a card from Japan at Christmas from my dear friend Hiromi…I love it, but I prefer to relax with my book than with my bookmark…J loves it too…I don’t actually put it in my books anymore because then I’m guaranteed to lose my place!

Front Seat Driver

We had to stop at the pharmacy on the way home tonight. Instead of waiting for the prescription inside where there were no chairs and all kinds of things to pull off shelves, J and I waited in the car. She was so excited to be in the front seat! Look at all the buttons to push!

Big Girl Bed

My friend Michelle was here last weekend and we blew up the inflatable bed for her…J has now moved to the floor of her room (she’s using the crib mattress) and she’s so proud of herself for having a floor bed just like Michelle did! Now, we’re just working on getting her to sleep in the crib….

Yummy!

I made Pioneer Woman’s casserole for dinner tonight…it was lovely and tasty and soooooo goood….so good, I forgot to take any other pictures of anything else.

Lifesaver

I got this bag for Christmas and knew it would be useful…what I didn’t realize was how useful it would be once my computer died in February. I’m packing a computer to and from work these days and having this bag with wheel that also has room for my yoga stuff is wonderful!

Stars

These stars have travelled to four different houses with us...they finally went out tonight while I was getting dinner ready...they have been hanging out over the kitchen sink and one end fell down and into a sink full of water tonight. Goodbye stars.

Table Fridge?

The contents of our fridge made it onto the table today...because we got new appliances. I cannot tell you how excited I am about that! YAY appliances!

The Bay

I had a dentist appointment downtown today and because I was running late I drove - I have been on the catwalk at the Bay for a long long time!

Sick Day

J got up this morning just before I took my shower and climbed in with her daddy...this is pretty typical when she does wake up before me. What is not typical is that she went back to sleep. Immediately. And I had trouble waking her up. So we spent the day at home. J snuggled on the couch and I worked at the dining room table...well, I TRIED to work at the table....

Go Giants Go

We took J to a hockey game last night and got her a Giants flag. She wanted to take her Canada flag from the Olympics with her to wave, but we forgot. She loves this new flag, although she is still insisting that the Giants are really Rockets. Sorry Alex ;)

Flying Two Year Old

J loves her gymnastics class. Michelle tried to get some pictures for me, but they are all mostly a blur. J just moves way too fast!

Tiny Tim Overdrive

Michelle was here tonight and a friend of hers was playing at Montmartre on Main Street. She was opening for this group, Tiny Tim Overdrive. They are a group of three ukulele players and they were awesome. Michelle's friend was great too - she plays a four string tenor guitar.

Scary Princess

Our princess is a little bit scary sometimes - I think she's being a lion here and I know she wants to be a trucker princess!
