Belated Birthday

Stacey brought this gift over last night for J's birthday...I think we got a preview of what Christmas is going to be like. J was pretty excited!

Rearranged

When we moved in, we put the couch in the middle of the room. It was a temporary measure until all of the living room boxes were unpacked. Well, they've been unpacked for a while and finally tonight Rebecca helped me rearrange the living room. There will eventually be some chairs opposite the couch - it will be nice to have enough seats to have company!

Gramma and Bop sent J a Christmas dress in the mail. J had a great time opening the package and then when she saw the dress, well, no one else was allowed to touch it!

J discovered her shadow today...it was pretty funny! Stella was in the kitchen and when she moved the light came and went...J wasn't sure what happened when her shadow disappeared.

Reading With Daddy...Kind Of

While I was making breakfast, J was sitting in front of the bookcase reading her books. I looked out of the kitchen and she was gone (and quiet!)...I found her in our room, trying to get a sleeping Daddy to read her a story!

Auntie Kelsey leaves for Kenya while we're away so it will be almost two months before we see her again, so Kelsey and J had some before bed cuddle time tonight. Check out the road rash on J's chin - she was playing too hard at the park!

Finally, after months and months, I went and picked up a nice, big drying rack. I'm hoping to make a dent in the pile before we leave on our trip!
