Soon To Be The Cause Of Many Arguments

This super soft blanket was a gift from my friend Theana. It is so soft, Alex and I are already discussing who should be allowed to cuddle with it...what, oh, it was a gift for Baby J? Umm, yeah...okay...

Of course being super smart, I didn't take any pictures with Theana, who I haven't seen in 13 years, but I'm hoping she'll post some of the ones she took and I'll just steal them!

Candy Corn: The Real Deal

Salvaged

We received a bunch of nice flowers from a bunch of different people when Baby J was born. This vase has the salvaged, dried pieces from a few of those bouquets. The dried pieces that actually look nice when dried!

First Books

Looks like Baby J might be a reader like her mom. She loved looking at this book (it has lots of big photographs of baby faces) and she actually made a fuss when the book got moved!

Flutterby Rattle

This great rattle is one that Baby J really likes - lots of bright colours. It came with us to our baby group today and another little girl who is about 6 months old was playing with it - it's got all kinds of textured bits for when she's teething and the other little girl loved it.

The Swing!

Grandma and Grandpa's of course. We got these adorable Danish bibs (and some Danish baby wear) in the mail today. Mormor and Morfar are my parents (Farmor and Farfar are Alex's parents).

Source Of The Squawking

On our way to the doctor today to get Baby J immunized, a loud squawk came from the back seat. A loud prolonged squawk. When we got to a stop light, I pulled my seat belt off, felt around in her car seat and discovered she had decided to spit her soother out. She took the soother and stopped squawking. I did this all by feel...I couldn't see around the side of the car seat.

A few minutes later, after we had parked the car, I went to get the stroller out of the trunk and saw this baby through the back window. I think she spat the soother out because she couldn't see, so the squawking wasn't originally because of the missing soother...it just got louder when she couldn't see *AND* her soother was missing!

My parents head back to k-town today and here they are, both getting their last Baby J fix...but never fear, they'll be back in a few weeks for another visit!

Good Luck Charm

Yesterday Baby J and I went for a walk with Auntie Rebar. She was going to look at an apartment. We were a bit early and because we had Baby J with us, we walked up and down the sidewalk a bit so she wouldn't wake up. We walked past a sign for a vacancy in an apartment building...the place Rebecca had the appointment at was okay, but they didn't take pets, but the one we walked by, well, they'll be moving in to it on November 1 and she figures Baby J is her good luck charm. We wandered past again this afternoon to check it out, but Baby J wasn't very interested.
