I spent the afternoon with a mountain of cookbooks, trying to find new and interesting options for lunches and dinners. Two of my most dreaded meal times. I just don't like most lunch food and there is so little time for dinner as I fly in the door from work and Alex makes a mad dash out. With less than an hour overlap, quick and easy meals are the best.
Anyway, after hours of pouring over the recipes and finding tons I'd love to try, I decided on an old favourite, hamburger soup with Kari's bread, and decided to make cookies for our staff meeting. Sigh...nothing like straying off topic!
