With Mommy

We have a definite lack of pictures of Baby J with her mommy, so this morning I resorted to using the timer. Not the best results, but whatever!

Distorted View Of The Living Room

This mirror is for the car so we can see Baby J from the front seat even though she's facing away from us. We haven't taken the car out since we picked it up the other day, so it's been propped next to Baby J's play area and she's had a great time babbling to the baby in the mirror. I noticed it's a convex mirror, so things are a bit distorted.

Contemplating The Jolly Jumper

Baby J tried out the Jolly Jumper for the first time this morning. She wasn't quite sure how to make it work. There was a lot of arm flapping and not a lot of jumping, but I'm sure she'll get the hang of it soon!

Project Complete

This was a joint project between me and my mom. I started it ages ago and it was for Baby J when she was born. Well, she's been born for a long time now! Oh well, it's a lighter weight than most of her blankets, so it will be good for summer.

Cousin Time

Connor and Baby J seem to enjoy hanging out together. Love the nonchalantness of this picture...especially because Connor was very happy to be sitting with J! (And yes, I just made nonchalantness up!)

How Did I Get Here?

Baby J has been able to hang out a bit on her hands and knees, but she's still not sure how she got there or if she likes it! Soon after this, she kind of collapsed onto her tummy.

Eyelashes

My kid has the longest eyelashes I've ever seen. They actually curl up and touch her brow bone. I'm not sure where they came from - neither one of us has eyelashes like that!

Out Like A Light

Baby J fell asleep just as we left her baby group this afternoon. Rather than come straight home and risk her waking up 20 minutes into her nap, I went for a walk with another mom. Then I picked up a few groceries. Then I came home. She slept for almost 2.5 hours. And 20 minutes of that was after I got home!

Sneakers

These cute little shoes make people thing Baby J is a boy. No matter what she's wearing. Even if the rest of her outfit is head to toe pink. Sneakers+bald head=boy?

Moving Backwards

Baby J has started scooting backwards and in circles - she's not too thrilled about it since it usually means she's getting further away from her target, not closer to it! She was facing the mirror when she started!

V-day is not far off...and if this bag of cinnamon hearts has anything to do with it, we'll have cinnamon-burnt tongues!

Hurricane

These Hurricanes are brand new, but they're a few years old. I've had them hiding in my closet - I love them, my feet love them, my plantar fasciitis is happy when I wear them. Unfortunately they've changed the design since I bought these ones and my feet don't like the new design so much. So, once I wear these ones out, I'm going to have to find a new shoe.
