New Game
Jocelyn figured out how to open and close the lid on this shoe box - and that paired with a toy has provided a few hours of fun for her today...It's amazing what will keep a baby occupied!

Discovering Pine Cones

Cable!
We finally had cable installed this week...unfortunately only half the channels are currently working, but we think we know how to fix that...it's very nice having clear, non-wobbly, blizzard-like channels for a change!

What Is Saving Us
The air conditioning unit...I think if we didn't have it we'd be melting onto the floor right about now! We thought it didn't work very well last summer, but when we turned it on this year, it turned out one of the fans we already put out was in the perfect spot to blow the cold air into the rest of the room. I hope this heat wave ends soon!

Big Tub Time
This is tub number four (well, five if you count the hospital) for J - she started in the bathroom sink, moved to her baby tub on the counter, then to the kitchen sink and now, finally, she's in the big tub and she loves it (unlike when she moved to the counter top sink).

Early Birthday Part Two
Today we first met up with a bunch of Alex's friends for brunch and then went out to meet his family and have birthday dinner, cake and gifts with them. Not sure what's left for the actual birthday tomorrow since this is the second day we've celebrated already!

Early Birthday Surprise
It's Alex's birthday on Monday, but because my mom and dad are here, I took advantage of Alex's morning appointment, my mom's babysitting service and my dad's station wagon driving and carting and picked up Alex's gift today. We set it up on the deck for him and it took a good 15 minutes for him to notice it...and then he thought it was my parents and it was just out there temporarily! Hopefully this is the beginning of many yummy dinners!

Bottom Teeth
The bottom teeth are in and Jocelyn is finally letting us see them. For the first little while she put her tongue over them all the time so no one could see (or touch) them. She also got to see what a plastic bag felt like for the first time...don't worry, she was sell supervised by Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa.
