Out Like A Light

Baby J fell asleep just as we left her baby group this afternoon. Rather than come straight home and risk her waking up 20 minutes into her nap, I went for a walk with another mom. Then I picked up a few groceries. Then I came home. She slept for almost 2.5 hours. And 20 minutes of that was after I got home!

Baby J has started scooting backwards and in circles - she's not too thrilled about it since it usually means she's getting further away from her target, not closer to it! She was facing the mirror when she started!

Hurricane

These Hurricanes are brand new, but they're a few years old. I've had them hiding in my closet - I love them, my feet love them, my plantar fasciitis is happy when I wear them. Unfortunately they've changed the design since I bought these ones and my feet don't like the new design so much. So, once I wear these ones out, I'm going to have to find a new shoe.

This crazy book sings! Well, maybe not sings, but it certainly plays music! Baby J loves playing with it - she can pull and move various parts of it. She likes the sound the velcro makes when it rips!

Sing-a-long Book Set

Baby J got this from one of her great-greats. This set is great because they're all familiar songs and rhymes. It also came with a CD recording of the songs.

Babies

Baby J got this book for Christmas from her k-town grandparents. I had this book when I was a baby and I wore it out, so when my mom saw it in the bookstore, she had to buy it for Baby J. Baby J loves it too!

Guess How Much I Love You

Baby J and Daddy like to read this one together. Baby J got the book from us and the matching Little/Big Nutbrown Hare from Heddy (lucky Hare has its own copy of the book hanging off its belly button. For real.). Heddy also gave Baby J the special Velveteen Rabbit picture that Little/Big Nutbrown Hare posed for. And, yes, I am going to end that sentence with a preposition.

Hello Pooh!

Baby J just got this book and she loves it. It has three pages and it's made of cloth AND it's got that crinkle stuff inside it. She's so thrilled with it! Plus it's got chewy bits at the bottom and a loop/hook thing to grab onto. Yup, she's happy with this one!

Baby J has a bunch of favourite books already...this one she reaches for whenever she sees it. Goodnight Moon is such a classic!

Little Hand

I had to take Baby J to a meeting tonight and she very nicely went to sleep in her stroller with the UV cover on it to block out the lights. When it was time to leave for home, I noticed this little hand, holding on tight!

This is Baby J's new sock monkey. For some reason every time Alex tried to say sock monkey it came out snock monkey, so it had been christened Snock.
