Jocelyn figured out how to open and close the lid on this shoe box - and that paired with a toy has provided a few hours of fun for her today...It's amazing what will keep a baby occupied!
This is my next editing project...check all this stuff for copyright and then enter it into the computer so we have electronic copies of the documents...what fun!
Jocelyn loves playing with Mommy's shoes. When she remembers they're on the mat by the door, all of a sudden there will be a baby stampede to get there before anyone else!
Alex and I have some serious shopping to do at the Bay...we have a little pile of gift cards leftover from our wedding and I think we finally know what we're going to do with them.
Jocelyn went to her first baby birthday party today. Of course I didn't get the camera out...oh well, I'm sure there will be many other birthday parties in the near future.
Magazines make me feel like life is passing even faster than it is! My July issue of Real Simple arrived today and we're not even half way through June! Go figure!
Rebecca and I took Jocelyn to the park tonight to cool off before bed (and to tire her out so that [I hope] the crying will be minimal tonight). She was fascinated by the pine cones but really disliked touching the grass.
What do you do with a present? J has never really opened a present before. She slept through the gifts at Christmas time and her birthday hasn't arrived yet, so she wasn't sure what exactly to do with this gift from her Mormor Grandma who just came back from Denmark.
But, when all else fails, sticking it in your mouth works...
We finally had cable installed this week...unfortunately only half the channels are currently working, but we think we know how to fix that...it's very nice having clear, non-wobbly, blizzard-like channels for a change!
The air conditioning unit...I think if we didn't have it we'd be melting onto the floor right about now! We thought it didn't work very well last summer, but when we turned it on this year, it turned out one of the fans we already put out was in the perfect spot to blow the cold air into the rest of the room. I hope this heat wave ends soon!
This is tub number four (well, five if you count the hospital) for J - she started in the bathroom sink, moved to her baby tub on the counter, then to the kitchen sink and now, finally, she's in the big tub and she loves it (unlike when she moved to the counter top sink).
