Another Year of P365

Yay! I survived year two, which was really a year of 366...we'll see what 2009 brings...

A quick wrap up of 2008

Baby J spent this morning yelling at us while we were having breakfast. We think she was telling us to have a good Christmas. And then she fell asleep...just in time for presents.

The Happiest Christmas Tree Ever

This year we have the most Charlie Brown Charlie Brown Christmas Tree ever! Because of all the snow and certain people arriving late, the tree farm was closed by the time we got around to checking it out and apparently there were no tree lots anywhere in town, so we rescued a tree from the hill behind the house instead!

Time for a hair cut for Alex, so I took him to my hairdresser. Here he appears to be trying to channel Ace Ventura...not the final product, thank goodness!

Can You See It?

Probably not...just beyond our tree and one of the ornaments I rescued from my parents, it's snowing outside. The first snow of the year - great big huge WET flakes. Baby J and I are going out now, while the stroller and the sidewalk are still friends!

Beautiful Gift

Baby J got a parcel in the mail today...something that took my breath away when I saw it...Baby J got a homemade quilt from one of her great-great aunties. Alex and I received one as a wedding gift and I also got one as a baby. Baby J has been playing on it - you can see it in some of these pictures - it's the green and white checked blanket. Mine lived on my bed (I think it even went to University) and it went to camp and I hope that Baby J will love her blanket as much as I loved mine.

New Favourite Chatting Friend That Doesn't Talk Back

Baby J loves the tree. It doesn't matter where we put her, if the lights are on or off, who is there to talk to her or what toys she is surrounded by, she would rather chatter to the tree.

Baby's First Christmas

We put the tree up this afternoon...well, the tree was up and the lights were on it, but it was missing its decorations. Baby J got this ornament from a friend of mine.

Tummy Time Progress

Baby J will now stay on her tummy for extended periods of time, but she natters and complains for most of it. She's getting good at pushing her bum in the air and rolling onto her side (she's getting there in this picture). She hasn't quite figured out how to get onto her back though.

First Batch Done

Alex dropped these in the mail box on the way to work tonight. I'm not sure how many batches it will take...hopefully two more at most. I want to be done with Christmas cards by the end of the week and technically the end of the week is TOMORROW!

Starting Her Young

We were out doing some seasonal shopping and Baby J needed to eat, so we stopped to feed her and have coffee at the local-seattle-based-soccer-mom-mega-coffee-shop. She was way more interested at looking around than actually nursing...figures.

We tried to take Baby J's Christmas picture tonight, but she wasn't interested. She wanted to look the other way and smile, look at the camera and scowl or stick out her tounge, or just suck on her sleeve...maybe next time...
