It was full...then last night it was more full. And now, now it's empty! Which is a miracle. Because 24 hours ago, I don't think I would have believed we'd be ready to move, but it's empty and the stuff is at the new place...amazing!
So, the doctor decided the swollen feet were in part due to salt (did you know Tums are high in sodium!?!), so tonight's dinner is virtually sodium free. There's none added to anything...including the pasta and the tomatoes. It's hard to find low/no sodium products...lots and lots of stuff is full of it!
So, some of these have been hanging around for a while, but I am NOT moving them (at least one has moved twice already) so they're ready to go to the post office tomorrow morning! Finally!
My feet get a day off today...I'm not working so that I can pack, but I'm on a 15 minutes of packing, 15 minutes of leg resting schedule. Which means the feet and ankles are happier. The paint job looks better today too. This will be the last foot picture...I'm getting very bored of them, so I am sure you must be too!
So, I painted my toe nails. And it was hard. It's not easy to reach around a baby belly! Not the best job on the nails, but it's nice to look at red! And they swelling has gone way down...they almost look normal!
The recycling box is the perfect size to soak my feet. There are two purposes (or hopes!) here...one is that the super cool water will take the foot swelling down and the other is that my feet need some TLC. They're not super fond of the one pair of shoes arrangement, but they'll get used to it!
This are the only shoes my feet fit into these days...this week's theme was going to be shoes until I realized I really only have one pair that fits...so, well, we'll see what happens...maybe it will be feet...
I wish...no wine for this girl for a while...no, this isn't wine. If you look closely you'll see some small appliance boxes on the right and some packing tape and a Sharpie in the middle of the picture...this packing madness and it has started today...the next two or three weeks are going to be all about moving-induced-hermit-living.
I love this blanket and it's slowly taking shape. Whenever I put it down, I'm amazed at how much I really like it...I've been doing it chunks when I need to put my feet ups to get rid of the cankles!
Okay, so I didn't take this one because that shadowed person behind my Mom is me...Alex took this one. So, this is Smart Car #1 from the Smart Car household...My parents are a proud three car family now - 2 Smart Cars to be used on a regular basis and one station wagon to take on the highway to help their oldest daughter move (oh and take the harp to harp lessons and go on other road trips...)
Two pictures...I was just going to put the one of Rebar, but it doesn't actually show the umbrella, so here we go, the umbrella and under the umbrella. I love the back deck in k-town!
We got to take a detour on our way to k-town today...this is the traffic jam we missed. The (scenic) detour was faster since moving 10km an hour is faster than 0km an hour, but it still took us a looooooooong time to get through Chilliwack...like two hours.
I've been editing this document for what feels like an eternity...I didn't think this project would be as huge as it has turned out to be - it's just a revision of an existing document, but apparently I was wrong!
This is the contents of our closet. We arrived home late on Saturday night after hearing Briana sing to discover the shelf and bar in the closet had crashed to the ground. There wasn't to much up there, not enough to cause the collapse, but in the morning when I took a second look I discovered whoever installed the whole thing used screws without anchors straight into the drywall...sigh...
This was a wedding gift (and I think it's featured in a picture earlier this year). My great-aunt made it for us and if we had stayed in the Blue House, she had given us special instructions on how to hang it on our wall. We'll see, the new place might just have somewhere for this special gift to go.
Okay, so it's not quite ready to go, but it is ready to be shown again if need be...hopefully they will find a new tenant by the end of the week so that the packing can begin. This is the calm before the chaos! Because moving is chaotic, no matter how organized it is!
Our niece had her first birthday earlier this week, but because of work we didn't get to see her until today. She's in love with babies and seems to really like books, so we got her some books with pictures of babies. And that was the very best guess at a gift ever! She loved them...pointed to all the babies, said woof to the dogs, and kissed all the pages to show us how much she loves babies! She is tearing open her package here yelling "babaaa, babaa" her word for baby. Check out the look on her face!
Because nightlife and pregnancy don't always work out well together. My cousinBriana had her CD launch party tonight and we arrived just in time to hear the end of Matthew Mei and hear her set. Very awesome!
I went grocery shopping on the way home...lunches work well when I shop regularly...not so well when I don't (I wonder why!)...and homemade lunches are just so much better than the junk either of us can pick up at work.
Thank goodness for solid food...HA! It's so hot, food is not something we're much interested in around here. Solids like Jell-o, popsicles and fruit are pretty much the only things we feel like eating! Check out the canned fruit that has taken on a green tinge from the lime Jell-o!
Oh, and we're half way through year 2 of Project 365.
