Sigh. Rain. We were supposed to go to Fiesole today. But it's a sunny weather place. Maybe tomorrow. Instead we visited Piazza delle Repubblica and did some shopping.
Today we ventured up to the "small" village where my great-grandfather's family came from. It was a much larger town than we thought and we (of course) timed it perfectly and arrived during the lunch time shut down, but we had a lovely lunch at a restaurant tucked behind the theatre that we think doesn't often get tourists!
It was drizzly today - not rainy really, just damp. We walked down a LONG, windy hill to find the Fontana delle 99 cannelle. And once we found it, we had to walk back up the REALLY long hill! Cobbles+drizzle=slippery slopes!
Michelle and I went for a walk through the orchard this afternoon. We tried to convince the cat to stay home, but it was convinced it should come with us. (yes, that is a cat way back there!)
Look at that cute baby...this is what happens when the scanner stops working...turned out okay...and it is a picture that I took, I just didn't happen to take the original!
Entertainment between periods as the Kelowna Rockets BEAT the Vancouver Giants...That's right Alex, the Kelowna Rockets BEAT the Vancouver Giants, who'd you call chumps?
