And so we say goodbye to a crazy year…there’s lots of exciting things to look forward to in the coming year…this is how I’m ushering out 2013…lying on the floor, playing games with my kiddo and trying to not moan too much from the aches and pains of the flu…ughhhhh

J loves doing the crossword and the Sudoku in the paper and when we went out for a walk and a treat, she stopped to get a paper. She usually fills the crossword in using the previous day’s solution as a guide. I’m not sure how she decides what to do with the Sudoku….
We are in Kelowna for a week and this afternoon, my dad and J put the finishing touches on the swing set. The day my sisters were born, my dad bought this swing set at the neighbours’ garage sale. It was pastel pink, blue and yellow in those days. After we had had it for a few years, my dad repainted it and made new seats out of wood (the originals were plastic and were very sad after 10+ years of Okanagan summers and winters). Now, 30 years later it needed new seats and new paint again. J helped paint when she was here before C was born and my dad saved the last bit of reassembly for her.
I am soooooooooo happy to be in Kelowna!
