Snail Mail
I got these cool mailing tubes when I lived in London. One of them eventually got mailed, although I don't know if it ever arrived at its destination. The other have moved with me a few times in the last few years. I came across one tonight as I got our guest room ready for our company this weekend.

Totem Renovated
Today I wandered over to Totem Park, a residence I lived in for a grand total of three weeks when I first started university, to interview the man who baked UBC cinnamon buns for many many year. The dining room looked very different from when I lived there. Nice fancy wallpaper!

Pax Lodge Rock
No really, this candy *is* called rock. It's super sugary sweet and we got some in a wedding package. I don't think I've seen it here...but maybe I have and I just wasn't paying attention!

Home?
This pretty wedding gift finally found itself a home on the wall. We're trying very hard to make our little apartment feel like home...putting things on the walls has helped a lot, but for some reason it still feels like a place we're staying in temporarily.

Surprise!
Alex came home tonight and dinner was almost ready. He insisted he needed to go out again right away. About 12 minutes later there was a knock at our apartment door. I was a bit hesitant to open the door since no one had buzzed in...well, standing there was this bouquet of flowers (and Alex too). Seems the errand he had to run before dinner was flowers for me...awwwwww...

Book Diet Revisited
A while ago I decided I need to go on a book diet. The book diet sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but right now it's actually working quite well. This is the stack of books I borrowed from the Mulvi-Library, North Vancouver Branch, at Easter. Yes, I do own the last Harry Potter book, but it was borrowed by someone who shall remain nameless who moved just before going to Kenya and then Australia and couldn't find the book anywhere in the boxes of things in storage.
One book left and then I have to return to the Mulvi-Library for more books. The best part about this particular library is there are no fines. They're happy to see their books back in two days or two months!

End Of The Season
Alex and I went to a local pizza place with large screen hockey action to see the last Canucks game of the season. It was a horrible blow out, but worth seeing for the maybe goodbye.

Bamboo
Kamiah bought this yarn and asked for a scarf. She wanted a nice, tight pattern. Well, this bamboo didn't want to have anything to do with tight. It's slippy and slide-y and lovely and needed something loose. I have some of the same yarn in another colour so I might have to make one for myself - I like this one so much. It will be perfect for winter (it's nice and wide) and for spring/cool summer evenings. Nice and light and perfect!
